ART PAINTING
Svyatoslav Richter, (1915–1997)
This grand piano has a powerful sound that aligns with the academic music style, as performed by the outstanding pianist of the 20th century, Svyatoslav Richter. He was a true master of the instrument, and his interpretations demonstrated the monumental power of the sound image. Richter has many titles and awards. He was the first Soviet performer to receive a Grammy Award for his performance of Brahms's Second Piano Concerto.

Work process
We painted the grand piano and covered it with polyester varnish. The soundboard brace of the instrument has been sized and restored. The deck is completely repaired: all belly-bars are sized, the cracks are patched up and coated with shellac.
We fully restored the mechanics of the piano and replaced felt and cloth elements, as well as outer cases for all natural and sharp keys. All brass and metal parts have been thoroughly polished. We installed ABEL hammers with natural felt coating, put in new ROSLAU strings and new bass strings (ROSLAU core, DEGEN copper).
The mechanics are balanced using the PTD system. We also made a set of spacers and other grand piano parts that allow the owner to adjust the instrument (up or down) to their height.
Our artist, Anna Redko, created a unique painting on the soundboard of this grand piano. In her work, she used quotes from the famous pianist Sviatoslav Richter, imitating the musician's handwriting, taken from B. Monsaingeon's book “Diaries and Dialogues”. On the lid of the piano, the artist painted a portrait of Richter with luminescent paints.
